Today we are pleased to announce a new partnership with another Canberra-based cybersecurity company, deception.ai, to build a secure and sophisticated system to thwart advanced cyber attacks.

deception.ai is a new business unit of cyber innovations firm Penten, and in this partnership with QuintessenceLabs, deception.ai uses our qStream quantum random number generation to further strengthen their innovative cyber deception technology, a set of solutions that includes generating decoy radio traffic and network activity to divert advanced cyberattacks.

“We are excited to announce a partnership with QuintessenceLabs to push the edges of innovation in cyber security,” said Ben Whitham, CEO of deception.ai, a new business unit of cyber innovator, Penten. “Our partnership with QuintessenceLabs enables us to address a significant scientific challenge in this field.”

“We are delighted about this partnership,” added QuintessenceLabs CEO Vikram Sharma. “We are looking forward to working together with the team at deception.ai to create a unique solution to overcome a major cyber security issue and we are grateful to Canberra Business Chamber, the ACT Government and AustCyber for supporting this partnership.”

This all began with our collective involvement in AustCyber, Australia’s Cyber Security Growth Network, itself a part of the Australian Capital Territory (ACT) Government initiative to foster this type of innovation and collaboration by cybersecurity companies in the region.

“The partnership between these two companies, and events, such as the ACSC, highlights the strength of Canberra as a hub to conduct cyber security business,” said Robyn Hendry, CEO Canberra Business Chamber. “It is exciting to see these two businesses working together and demonstrating their world leading innovations at one of the biggest global cyber events.”

The announcement with the ACT came during the Australian Cyber Security Centre (ACSC) Conference Wednesday in Canberra.

We are also happy to have deception.ai alongside us at next week’s RSA Conference in San Francisco. If you are in the area, drop by booth #209 in the South Expo Hall to learn more about this partnership, our products and everything else we’re up to.
