Warren Armstrong is QuintessenceLabs' Director of Engineering, and has been working for the company in several roles since 2008. Warren holds a Ph.D. from the Australian National University (ANU). His expertise is in software design and development.

He has extensive experience across major QuintessenceLabs products and technologies including the Trusted Security Foundation, qClient library, and early qOptica QKD prototypes. He has led and worked on several R&D projects for Defence and government customers. He actively collaborates with academics on industry-focused research projects and was the industry representative on a computer science curriculum review at the ANU. He is a member of the OASIS KMIP technical committee and is QuintessenceLabs' technical representative to the CyberSecurity Cooperative Research Centre.
