QuintessenceLabs, the leader in quantum security technology, receives an honorable mention for impressive technology at the event held in New York City, Feb 5-7.
QuintessenceLabs, the leader in quantum security technology, was recognized as one of the global top three companies at the IBM SmartCamp Global Finals held February 5-7 in New York City. Eight companies qualified from a field of several thousand companies worldwide to participate in the event. SmartCamp brings together entrepreneurs, investors and experienced mentors to help catapult the finalists to the next stage in their companies’ evolution.
“We are honored to have received this recognition and deeply grateful to IBM and mentors for supporting the program”, said QuintessenceLabs Founder and CEO, Dr Vikram Sharma. “IBM SmartCamp is like the Olympics for Tech-Startups and we’re delighted to have placed in the global top three companies recognized by IBM. We’ve benefited tremendously from SmartCamp – we’ve added a number of key relationships to our network, and refined elements of our strategy and business model to incorporate valuable advice from the eminent group of mentors who contributed their time to the event.”
QuintessenceLabs is the world’s first company to harness the quantum properties of lasers to deliver a new generation of cryptographic protection for data. This capability coupled with QuintessenceLab’ advanced datasecurity platform heralds a new generation of powerful enterprise data security solutions.
“We are excited by the prospects ahead of us in 2013”, said Sharma. “We plan two major corporate actions this year: to raise capital to accelerate market and technology development, and to deepen our partnership with IBM to offer powerful, globally unique solutions to address the critical issue of safeguarding valuable information.”
