Today QuintessenceLabs was pleased to announce another major deployment of our data protection capability. Our client Software Development Kit (SDK), known as qClient, is now integrated in VMware vSphere 6.5. This provides VMware customers the ability to interface with a wide offering of key and policy management solutions for their virtual environments.

A major benefit for VMware customers is that qClient is vendor neutral, compatible with many key management devices — including our own qCrypt key management suite. This gives organizations full control and flexibility when implementing their encryption key management strategy, enabling stronger data protection, no matter where their virtual environment is hosted.

The qClient SDK is currently the only KMIP compliant client used by VMware, highlighting its unparalleled capabilities in terms of interoperability  and ease of integration with key management offerings.

The incorporation of the qClient SDK into vSphere 6.5 helps VMware continue the strong expansion of their virtualized resources without any reduction in quality or security. It does this while helping a growing customer base meet the varied compliance needs of global customer firms and corporations.

This integration includes all the components required for fast and efficient integration, including binary libraries, key management API, PKCS#11 API, header files, sample code source files and detailed user documentation.
